About Danielle Thrall in St. Louis, MO
If you or your child have been feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns that aren't working anymore, please know this: you are not broken, and you don’t have to figure this out by yourself.
Taking the step to start therapy—opening up about what’s going on, sorting through hard feelings, and discovering who you really are—takes real courage. Whether you’re an adult looking to make sense of your own life or a parent trying to support your child, I’m here to stand alongside you as an equal partner.
Welcome — You Don’t Have to Navigate This Alone
At GBHC, we hold a simple “come as you are” promise. You don’t need to put on a mask, pretend to be someone else, or apologize for how your brain works. Together, we’ll focus on what you naturally do best, celebrate your unique brain, and build a real, practical path forward.
How I Work
I look at the whole picture—your mind, body, emotions, daily relationships, and personal beliefs are all connected. My approach is always tailored to meet you or your child where you need support most.
-
Real Partnership: We enter the room as equals. I bring clinical training and effective tools; you bring your own lived experience.
-
Utilizing Your Strengths: Instead of trying to "fix" what's wrong, we build on what makes you you and highlight your personal strengths.
-
Hands-On & Practical: Insights are great, but real life happens outside the therapy room. I love using visual tools, hands-on activities, and simple, step-by-step strategies so you actually walk away with tools that work.
-
Focused On What Works: Everything we do is backed by research and tailored directly to your life.
Working with Adults
Therapy for adults is a collaborative, down-to-earth space designed to help you cut through the noise, gain clarity, and make real changes in your daily life. We work together through conversations, activities, and practical strategies that help you stay grounded.
In our sessions, we focus on unpacking everyday stress, old patterns, and major life transitions.
We’ll take time to deeply understand and embrace your unique neurodivergent brain—including ADHD or Autism—so you can stop burning yourself out trying to fit into a mold that wasn't built for you. You’ll walk away with actionable tools to set firm boundaries, manage stress, calm your nervous system, and build genuine self-compassion.

Working with Children & Families
Play is a child’s natural language. Because kids rarely have the words to explain big feelings or sensory overload, play therapy uses art, games, sand, drawing, and interactive activities so they can work through difficult feelings in a way that feels safe and intuitive.
Through play, your child will learn how to process intense emotions, navigate environmental stress, and develop simple tools to self-regulate when feeling overwhelmed. We focus heavily on building their confidence, social connection, and problem-solving skills, all while celebrating what makes their brain unique. I also partner closely with parents through regular check-in sessions. Together, we’ll share progress, troubleshoot challenges, and make sure the practical tools we practice in session seamlessly translate to home and school.
